The Hope in Fear

I can feel it

Fear

And I am

Afraid

An all around me it is

Everywhere

And I

Can't seem

To get

Away

A light

A new hope

Someone

I reach out

But they are moving away

Too fast

And I reach forth my hand

It's the only thing I have left

And I want to just give up

But I won't

I can't

I stretch

And finally

My hand is clasped in his

And I hang on

Not wanting to let go

And my shoulders relax

And I can walk again
