Adventure for Youth

Yay! So I went to AFY up in Idaho with Jessica (Steve) and Danielle (Dan)

The first day was full of orientations and name games.. but the next day
We got all geared up to go to the ropes course!
I went on a swing that pulled you up about 30 feet,
Then you let go, and got to fly around
We aslo had to get everyone over this 10 foot wall, without talking
But we still had lots of fun
We had to make the full armor of God, and our group was in charge of the helmet

We got to go to the Recksburg temple which is sooo pretty.
It was a fun change from just going to Provo all the time
We had some free time after....
We went river rafting on Thursday. You can see how pumped we are.

It was way intense with 17 foot waves, and really fast moving water.

We were pretty worn out after
This is our table at the final banquet. To my right is my "date" Jordan
Gotta love them righteous boys
We can be crazy some times
Haha the boys can be too
My amazing counselors Taylor and Amy
These were ALL the people at AFY. 88 in all. We're alot smaller then EFY
Everyone saw my dollar ring, so I ended up making a few
We were pretty exhasted by the end of the week
Amy, Jordan, Me
Bored on the 6 hour bus ride home
Best group ever!

Love you AFY!

New things

Well.... I fail at updating this thing. So here are all the new things with me.
  1. I'm an official member of Provo's Youth City Council (YCC). Mom first wanted me to do it with the idea of my resume, but I went to my first meeting, and had tons of fun. I met lots of people that go to Provo, and even some from Timpview I never knew. I'm the youngest in the group, most everyone else is Juniors and Seniors, but whatever. That's just all the more years I can do it. :)
  2. I tried out for Studio 1 again, but didn't get moved up. Everyone else that tried out from my team did. So now Mom and I are thinking of not doing Studio 1. That was the original plan, but then I didn't make ballroom and dance company. So it looks like for us just weekly classes at Studio 1.
  3. I just came back from AFY yesterday. It was so fun! But I'll do a post on that later.
  4. And last but not least, I have a job! I was doing some work for my father, but then Chanelle told me Gandolfo's was hiring. Bells gave her manager, Ralphie, my number and he called me. What a great sister I have. And, soon to be my trainer. :)
So that's what's been up with me!

Like the new blog heading? I love the picture. I took it at AFY in my friend Jordan's aviators. Love it! And of course I'm gonna use a Beatles song. :)

The Pankcake Conundrum

Well, while Mom is away (I'll update that on the Family blog) Chanelle and Aubrey will go get breakfast! I woke up Belly this morning and we went to McDonalds. We ordered our food, and came home. Upon inspection we realized that I never recieved my pancakes. So Chanelle tooke matters into her own hands, telling me she'd make me some. (Bells automatically thinks she's a pancake expert because of work.) She took out a box of Bisquick, added water, stirred it together, and made some. They basically burned upon impact. I looked at the box and told Chanelle she had to add milk and eggs. Her arguement? "At work we just add water and cook them. They turn out perfect." Sorry Bells, we aren't at work. So after dumping out the first batch of batter, Chanelle went off to make more. They were pretty good, plus they were drenched in syrup, so my judgement was off.
Later when Chanelle was at work she texted me saying "I just made the BEST pancakes!"
This blog post is dedicated to Brooke Michele Snelson Hofmann or the girl who insisted I update my blog. :) love you!

Skiing!

In case you didn't know, I love to ski! I've done it for..... 8 years. Don't get any thoughts though. I don't really like black diamonds or mougles (ya I'm weird) but I love to go fast!

Which is unfortunate, because I often go with slowboarders snowboarders.

Sundance is the place we go. There's alway a new adventure. Like people falling off of ski lifts, or random art displays.
We really don't take many pictures ON the slopes, because who want's to stop to take a picture? So the bus ride up is perfect. We get bored sometimes.....

Haha Chase
Steven you look cute. I look.....

Haha me, Mike, and Jessica. Mike with 2 girls? Hmmmmm
These were taken the day I fell. Before of course

Yay! We love skiing!

Practice....

Yes I'm far behind. But here it goes.

Last minute I decided to audition for the Talent Show. No idea why.

Mom decided to do a chin show. For those of you who don't know what it is,

Nicole will so kindly demonstrate. Basically it's six of us doing that, and we all sing. Kiss The Girl. it shall be super duper fun. :)

Sing what?

Thursday at school there was a kareoke contest during lunch. Why did I enter it and why did I sing My Girl? Well, I have no idea. But I did, and I guess people like me or something. My performance sucked, but, I'm proud to say I got second and an iTunes gift card. Yay! I love free stuff!

Dear body, thanks for not dying

Well, I usually don't like to use this as a journal after all, that's what my journal's for. :) But, I thought ya'll should know, I fell off a ski lift. Good story actually... There was an un experienced snowboarder (3 actually) who didn't make it up to the line to get on the lift in time. So, she got on the lift before me. Well, she sat in my place. I sat on top of her, and I guess slipped off. So I was hanging onto the lift with one hand, and the chick was holding my other arm. I was hanging like that for 3 minutes. Yes, they stopped the lift. They brought over a ladder, that was too short. So, the last option? For me to drop. So, I guess technically, I didn't fall off a lift, I dropped? Haha. My hand I was hanging on with slipped, and next thing I new, I was laying on the nicely packed ice snow feeling like I couldn't breathe. Nothing's broken, but the cartilage between my sternum and ribs is stretched/torn/stressed, whatever you'd like to call it.

FAQ
1. Didn't they have a net or something?
I have no idea.....
2. How high was the drop?
12 feet
3. Did you punch the girl?
Uh... no. If I did, I probably would have fallen....

Well, we were at Nicole's house watching the Ballroom Christmas concert. We got bored, and this the result of our rapid flash boredom!
