This post is dedicated to:
"Hey Aubs, can I talk to you?"
"Yeah, what's up?"
"I messed up."
"What happened? Are you okay?"
"I've been better."
"Okay, well do you wanna talk? How can I help?"
"I don't know"
"Why don't you go read your scriptures? Or pray?"
"God doesn't want to hear from me. I've talked to him enough. I'm probably bugging him."
"That is not true. At all. God loves hearing from each and everyone of his children. Imagine if you moved to.... Africa for a year. And you never wrote your parents one letter. You never called and didn't talk to them. How would they feel? How would you feel? God feels the same way."
"Can I talk to you later?"
"Sure honey :) I love you"
"Love you too."
"Hey you :)"
"Hey, feeling better?"
"Honey, I just want you to know that God loves you. No matter what. That he gives you everything for a reason. He gave you your trials for a reason. He gave you your strengths and weaknesses for a reason. And for some reason, he gave me you and you me. We're here to help each other, and make each other grow. God has a divine plan for every single one of his children. There is a divine reason for everything."
I think sometimes I forget this.
Today I am grateful for: tender mercies.
